News, Svitolina

On Friday the 2nd of December, the Elina Svitolina Foundation alongside Top Five Management, organized a fundraising auction during its annual Gala Dinner, which was held for the first time at the Monaco Yacht Club.

The funds raised during the event, which was placed under the High Patronage of His Serene Highness the Prince Albert II of Monaco, will be used to finance the actions lead by the Foundation since 2019, including the program aiming to support Ukrainian tennis since the beginning of the war, and to continue providing equipment and assistance to the recipient’s families that are strongly hit by the conflict in Ukraine.

Over 15 astonishing lots were presented during the event which gathered worldwide guests from the sport and showbiz industries around the Ukrainian champion to support her foundation and its actions. Among them, Elina was happy to welcome Gaël Monfils (Elina’s husband and french tennis player), Andriy Schevchenko (ukrainian football legend), Tony Parker (NBA Champion & All-Star), Matt Pokora & Cristina Milian (artists), Marta Kostyuk & Lesia Tsurenko (Ukrainian tennis players), Marlène Harnois (taekwondo olympic medalist), Timur Miroshnechenko (Ukrainian TV host), Lesia Nikitiuk (Ukrainian TV host), Clémence Botino (former Miss France), Adriana Karembeu (model and artist) & Oleg Skrypka (Ukrainian singer).

« I am organizing my Foundation’s annual gala dinner at a very tough moment for my country… For me, it is the opportunity to remind again that the war continues… My objective is to reunite all those who support Ukraine, and to find new friends and partners for my Foundation, which focuses on supporting young talents and developing tennis at the same time. My team and myself solidly believe in Ukraine’s victory, and we are already thinking of post-war restoration of sport infrastructures. The young talents who escaped their country during the war have to know that they will soon be able to back home. »

This 3rd edition of the diner enabled to raise over €240,000 (and counting) for the Elina Svitolina Foundation, but also to the United 24 program launched by Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, which Elina Svitolina and Andriy Shevchenko are ambassadors for. It is still possible to bid for numerous prestigious lots until 20 December 2022 through the official online auction link here.
