Born in Beroun, Czech Republic – Tomas is a young Czech tennis player who turned professional in 2017. Trained by former ATP player Daniel Vacek, Tomas has a career high singles ranking of 137 achieved on March 8 2021. Tomas won his first ATP Challenger singles title at the Koblenz Open in February 2020. Following its maiden win on the Challenger tour, he played his very first Grand Slam qualification match at the 2020 French Open.

In 2021, Tomas qualified for the Australian Open main draw after conceding only 14 games. Later in March, he captured his second ATP Challenger title in Nur-Sultan.
